To shackle or not to shackle?

Question is can I run my semi eliptical straight to the axle with out the shackle or would it be better with the shackle. I've read that you can reduce wheel hop without the shackle. This is on the front of course.

Along the top lip of cockpit, were i see some nice padding on many T Buckets, how is that held in place and or done?
There a few style of padded top lips, those with pleats and with out.
Snaps on some show, yet many have no screws or snaps showing, and with all the jumping in and out,no way just glue would keep a pad inplace on the top rail.
So what are the tricks used now?
Asuming a glass body with some wood inside.

7.5 rear - plastic vent help?

Hey all, hoping for some expertise and maybe advice...

I'm building a T with a Chevy 10-bolt 7.5 rear end (I know, maybe not the be-all end-all greatest rear choice, but it's what I have and it's already set up with brackets, brakes, etc)... anyway, I spent several hours today with wire cup wheel, sander, wire brush, degreaser etc. really cleaning it up (remarkable the dirt, grime, sludge etc built up on the thing), and during the cleanup process I noticed the little plastic tube on the top of the diff. At first I thought it was some kind of filler tube, but a little research looks like its actually a vent.

So, what's the question? Well, I actually found the thing accidentally with a sanding disc on an air die grinder. Ugggh, needless to say, I buzzed a bit of it off. So, is this something I need? Can it be easily replaced, if so where do I get a replacement and how do I remove it? Plugged? Or another suggestion?

Really appreciate any help :) Thanks in advance!!!

Jag rear end coil-overs

We have a T that had a transverse leaf spring over a Chrysler 8 3/4 diff. with 4 chrome shocks, mounted sort of like on a Jag rear end. I pulled the leaf spring and shocks and replaced them with 4 coil-overs and a panhard bar, seemed like the easy thing to do. The body and engine and stuff aren't on the chassis yet, but I can tell that the 4 160 lb. springs that I had for the coil-overs are going to be too stiff. What capacity springs do you guys with real Jag rear ends use?

Hi eveyone:
I am running a ford 8in rear with Chevette coils and Hynduai shocks. The ride is really stiff. Is anyone else running a coil spring shock combination? If so what springs and shocks are being used?
Thanks for the help

How Many Circuits Do You Have?

I'm wondering how many electrical circuits I will need for my project.

How many do you have and what are they?

Do you have any spare breakers in your fuse block?

Does the Earth weigh more or less than it did five-hundred years ago? ..... oh, never mind.

I started working on my 23 T. For a short description, the frame sat outside for a long time. I have 1 spindle off and the other is froze in the axle, I can press is out no problem. The issue is, what do they take for parts (rotors, caliper mounts), with T/P gone, I am having a hard time finding info. Does anyone have the manual for a T/P 23 T? Any info would be great. The car was bought through T/P as a kit with a 8" Ford rear.
