Here is a picture of an intake I just received.
I am running a flat tappet 302. I hope to put in a Mustang
roller cam, lifters and push rods while I have the intake off.
Eastwood sent me an email about a discount on their powder
coating gun and I was hooked. I have an oven, to be wired
and hope to chrome coat the intake before installation.
Come on good weather.

Powder coating stuff just arrived.

Is it better to mount the relay close to the device being controled to minimize the length of the power wire or inside the body to protect from weather ?

Thanks

John

I was watching a video on Speedway motors website of a blue t bucket they built. It has an opening door with bomber seats and no interior. It appears to have no reinforcement inside the body. Are they that well built that even with a door they need no reinforcement?? Anyone have any comments on Speedway bodies?

Mounting the PC-91 ignition coil

Hello my friends,

I have a PC-91 coil. I plan to mount it on the inside & under the dash on the passenger side, and then run the wires thro' a hole in the firewall. Will this in any way cause electro-magnetic interference with my Electronic gauges?

The intent is to keep my firewall (which btw is fibeglass) looking as clean as possible on my T. I'll be cutting a wooden backer board to fit under the dash, and mount the coil and the fuseblock of the wiring harness and then run the wires from there.

Tips?, Ideas?

Thanks much!

A few pics of my new set up. I installed a Kugel 90 degree master cylinder set up. I believe this will give me more stopping power over the old corvair system I had before. I will be able to service the master cylinder thru the cowl door. I also incorparated the steering column support using a connecting rod.

Middle seat from dodge

Well, I picked up a short bench from a caraven. Took the base off, took the seat belts off the side, and it still won't fit!!!! I have the stretched body from Herman, but it's not wide enough for the bench. Man! This seat really looks good, too. I wish this body was just 3 inches wider! I know some folks widen their T's, but I'm not that skilled. Anyone have any other ideas for seats? I think I'm going to have to go with the Tempress boat seats. They look like they would work. Have short backs and I can get some sliders that will bolt to the floor. They don't have springs in them, just high density foam.

Any suggestions?

side pipe support

I'm starting to think of how I want to fabricate my exaust system, but aren'r cracks an issue with the long side pipes I see ? Seems like a lot of weight hanging out there to not have issues in some cases. I've looked at a lot of examples, to get some ideas for my own, and I don't think I've seen any rear support on a system yet however. Posted Image
I plan to have short turn outs at about the rear of the doors.

Cheers,
Russ

Just purchased a body and bed from RPM ,picked it up friday night.
Body was built by Hermans Fast Glass ,It is a shame to start cutting
and grinding on it , it is so smooth and shinny.
I am starting my build, got the frame built and that's about all.
Got a long way to go. I have learned so much from everyone on this
forum, without it i would not know where to start.
I also purchased some frame part from RPM so Thank YOU for your help.

radiator ding

I have a crunched section of radiator fins that I would like to hide. The section is about 1" high X 1.5" long right in the top dead center of the fins (see photo). I was thinking about using an emblem to hide it until I saw roosters radiator had some type of screening mounted in it that looked really cool. I'm looking for other suggestions & also, Rooster, where did you get that screen?

Thanks for all the help,
Spike
