T-Bucket Forums statistics - 6 April

April 6th, 2008 by admin

Before looking at the numbers, the biggest news to report is the new Virtual Private Server home of the T-Bucket Forums.  Two server moves in two weeks is a bit more hectic than we like to have things.  The good news is the VPS environment is providing speedy page loads and we’re all set with room to grow in the future.

Some extremely interesting numbers in the site’s statistical reports are the number of hits we’re seeing.  Saturday, 5 April set a new record for daily hits.  And in just 5 days, we’re already at 20.91% of March 2008’s total hits.  Had I mentioned March 2008 was a record-setting month for site hits?

The average daily hits are up 8% over last month, so we’re on our way to destroying last month’s record.  And The hit count in March was up 4% over February 2008, so we may be seeing a trend.

And this, once again, with the forums being closed to posts for the best part of Friday, 4 April.

681 threads (+44) - 6,379 posts (+436) - 373 members (+11) - 185 active members  (-1)

Google - 2,540 indexed pages (-700) - 1,684 inbound links (+100) - a search on T-Bucket brought the forums in at number 6 of 288,00 results, which is a drop of one place in an increase of 5,000 results.

Yahoo - 2,080 indexed pages (+200) - 4,380 inbound links (+270) - a search on T-Bucket failed to bring the forum in the first 60 results

AltaVista - 2,140 indexed pages (+230) - 4,390 inbound links (+220) - a search on T-Bucket failed to bring the forum in the first 60 results.

We’re hoping the impressive numbers we’re seeing are not a quirk and that the forums are truly experiencing another round of growth.
