OK I finaly started on this thing, I installed my Model A rear cross member here are a few pic's..


Started here...





added a little more steel to finish the look..


Ground it down and finished it out.(Also welded the underside and installed a gusset)

Finished product..




Also changed my mind on the wheel's going with these all the way around Mid 30's Plymouth Artillery wheel's.. Need to more if anybody has any

Thanks for the update. You do really good work. There's a swapmeet I'm going to Sunday, I'll keep an eye out for the wheels.

i think i would use por-15 on your frame when you are ready for paint it will kill the rust

I'm gonna sand blast it then use 3M's etch prime, then continue filling all the pit's with Dolphin glaze, then a couple of coats of 3M's URO prime...I've never used the POR 15 heard good stuff about it, but I'm fron the old school of blasting the rust away...MESSY But functional..

Those A rear cross members are a natural for a modified. If you were to add a gusset to the inside and add the outer 3" of the pieces you cut off, it would look like this:

Yhea I thought long and hard before I lopped off the end's But after it was all said and done, I was pleased with the ends gone,(my.02) I was just affraid it would look like the flying nun from the rear with the ears sticking out there...I still have them and actualy tacked them on but was a no go..

OK... I've been thinkin'...scarey I know... I don't know what you're planning for tail lights but here's some food for thought. A pair of '32 lights on the '32 stands would look bitchin' off to the sides of the rails at the xmember. Just a wild brain fart.

I have an early T Tail Lamp I was planning on using but if you wanna graciously donate the above mentioned i would cetrtainly be more than happy to pop them babies on there....That would look killer....
