Speedway has one for a Corvair box for $3.95. McMaster-Carr has various types of locknuts and castle nuts.

Corvair pitman nuts are 5/8-18 if that is what you need I keep about 100 on hand. Just let me know I'll send you a nut and a washer.

Re: 7/8"x14 nut

I need a half nut . A full height nut won't allow me to tighten up my Pitman arm completly . The Corvair won't work. I have a '54 Ford truck steering box and lost the nut.

I think I found one from a 1980 Camaro at the Dealer. Same NUT.
